Barbara Reilly, Ph.D., Press Ganey’s senior thought leader for the Engagement practice will share information on national trends in Physician Engagement and will highlight some of the work Press Ganey is doing around Physician Burnout and increasing Resilience.

Presenter Bio

Barbara Reilly, Ph.D.

Dr. Barbara Reilly currently works full time at Press Ganey where she leads the research and thought leadership related to Employee, Physician, and Nurse Engagement. She is a highly sought after keynote speaker on topics related to engagement including the ROI of engagement, maximizing engagement best practices, the importance of organization culture, the impact of burnout, nursing satisfaction for Magnet, and other issues that affect Employees, Physicians, and Nurses.

Barbara has led the science and research around the development of some of Press Ganey’s key engagement products and will continue to guide the thinking behind our engagement initiatives.

Barbara also works directly with healthcare clients to understand and address their needs, share best practices, and advance the engagement practice across the country and internationally.

Barbara completed her undergraduate work at Texas A & M University and obtained an MS and PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University. She completed a post doc in International Business from The University of South Carolina.

With more than 20 years’ executive experience and consulting with senior business leaders in the U.S. and internationally, Barbara has a good balance of academic knowledge and practical business experience. Barbara has taught in the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in the MBA, Executive MBA, and Professional MBA programs for over 20 years. She has taught internationally at United Arab Emirates University in Abu Dhabi and at Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) in Nicosia and Limassol. Barbara’s academic role focused on teaching, service, and consulting. Prior to joining Press Ganey, she consulted with business leaders through the Georgia State Executive Education Program, Reilly Leadership Solutions, and Turknett Leadership Group. Barbara worked as an Executive Coach for many years and coached business leaders and physicians. In her consulting efforts, Barbara often uses non-traditional learning tools including case studies, simulations, storytelling, and individual assessments to advance her client’s thinking and awareness. Her consulting work focuses on helping leaders understand strategic objectives and translate those into targeted talent/HR programs and initiatives.
